Festival Flyer
This is a magazine ad that I created using InDesign.I used the skills that we learned in class while creating the magazine advertisement for the Sawdust Art Festival. I chose to put a faded beach picture in the background because that is where I saw the festival occurring. I used arched letters to show the dates so that people’s eyes would gravitate towards them, hopefully making the dates of the event unforgettable! I used various text colors in order to make the poster more appealing to look at, and put a border around the entire ad. I also put an image in the corner and used the clip cropping to make him just navy blue with no fill. I had to do the clip cropping and then on the lines that were left as the outline I increased the weight and changed the color of the lines. This was a really interesting project and I learned a lot from having to apply the skills learned in class to the ad at home by myself with no help from anyone. I think this advertisement does a nice job of attracting an eye.
